St Andrew's Birmingham is a 124 bedded adult mental healthcare facility comprising eight units that cover medium and low security for both men and women. Located in Stirchley, a vibrant area in South Birmingham, easily accessible by road networks and public transport.
The Role
As a Catering Assistant, duties will include light food preparation in our kitchens, cleaning, washing up, accepting food deliveries from suppliers and putting away, food storage, stock rotation and delivery of ward food supplies. This position will involve daily heavy manual handling and the pushing of loaded food trollies. You will need to adhere to food safety standards at all times and maintain up to date records.
We want to grow and develop our team to achieve the best possible care for our patients, so applications are welcomed from well-motivated individuals who are flexible, able to demonstrate initiative and who possess excellent communication skills.
Please note: all staff being recruited are expected to be available to work flexibly across all our wards when service demands require it.
