Broom Cottage is a stunning residential care home for up to 5 adults within a peaceful, community-based environment. With an emphasis on promoting independence, positive behaviour support and vocational skills development. Broom Cottage’s aim is to provide positive, personalised support and promote independence for individuals with a learning disability or autism

Your profile

There are no set entry requirements to become a Support Worker as full training is provided, but there personal characteristics which are essential. We would welcome your application if you are:

  • Caring and kind
  • Cheerful and friendly
  • Willing to do personal care tasks (washing, toileting, etc.) in some areas
  • Resilient, with a ‘can do, anything is possible’ attitude
  • Someone who loves to work in a team, using your own initiative and creativity, but also able to follow procedures consistently where required
  • Someone who enjoys motivating and encouraging others to achieve their goals
  • Committed to inclusion and diversity
  • If you have any hobbies or interests, we’d also love to hear about these
