We are looking for a driven, passionate and highly experienced Mental Health Nurse to join the team.
Location: Northampton
Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience at this level
Hours: Ideally 37.5 per week but open to flexibility

The Role

As the Highly Specialised Nurse for our Deaf services, you will practice autonomously at an advanced level to the deaf service across the Charity. This is a key post within a specialist area and will have a clear role in defining, shaping and developing the Deaf service across all sites in the Charity including community settings. You will report directly to the Director of Nursing.

This is a key post to support the Charity to deliver highly specialised Deaf Service care in line with the quality and strategic plans, to provide advice, guidance and expert experience into complex cases, to support the charity to ensure Deaf Service patients receive effective and safe specialist care and treatment and to support the charity in developing its Deaf Service practices and service provision.

You will support a culture of quality improvement that produces new ideas, approaches, innovation or insights, ensuring that plans are developed and taken forward to improve patient care and services focused on our deaf services patient care.

The Person

You will be an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration, be educated to masters level or equivalent in the relevant area of practice. You will bring highly relevant specialist clinical knowledge relating to deaf services.

You will be trained to BSL Level 2 or higher or have relevant lived experience of BSL. You will have a strong track record of achieving improvements for patients through service transformation involving staff, patients, their families and other stakeholders. You will also have a good understanding of research and can demonstrate how research has influenced your practice.
