Locations: Northampton & Birmingham

Full Time (part time or full time will be considered as will flexible working)

Salary: Total package up to £165,000 depending on experience

Suitable for an experienced Consultant or someone due to complete their CCT in the next 6 months.

St Andrews is a non-profit Charity - we have no shareholders and any surplus we make is ploughed straight back into our services. We are part of the Specialist Provider Collaboratives in the East and West Midlands and are a member of the East Midlands Alliance. Our services in Northampton, set in 150 plus acres of woodland greenery, are spread across various services like Medium Secure / Forensics, Low Secure and Specialist Rehabilitation, PICU, Acute, Learning Disability and Autism / ASD, Neuropsychiatry and CAMHS.

Main duties of the job include a number of unique specialist national services including our Deaf Forensic Service, Huntingtons Service, Secure Brain Injury Service, Older Adults Secure Services, Blended Womens Service (one of 3 National Pilots), a specialist inpatient DBT service, Forensic Learning Disability & Autism Service and various community-based services too. Due to the variety of services we have, we can consider people with a General Adult, Forensic, Learning Disability, Old Age or CAMHS CCT.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: Applicants must have MRCPsych or equivalent and hold a CESR or CCT in General Adult Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Learning Disability Psychiatry or Old Age Psychiatry.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
