Role Description

The Summer School Activity Leader (Non-Residential) will be responsible for planning, organising, and leading engaging activities and excursions for students. Daily tasks include supervising recreational and social activities, managing student safety during off-site visits, ensuring proper behaviour and engagement, and collaborating with teaching and administrative staff. Activity Leaders are expected to create a positive and inclusive environment for students of various cultural backgrounds. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the London Area, United Kingdom. You will be required to obtain either a DBS or PVG. First Aid training, safeguarding certifications, or equivalent would be advantageous. Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, is necessary for this role.

Tasks and duties include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and promoting activities whilst actively encouraging the involvement of students in activities/events and leading by example.
  • Looking after the materials/equipment and ensuring they are returned at the end of each activity and assisting in closing the centre and returning equipment.
  • Escorting groups on local walks and excursions and ensuring the safety and welfare of the students, as well as providing them with information to help them get the maximum benefit from their stay.
  • Assisting with the supervision of breakfast/lunch/dinner and interacting with the students.
  • Generally caring for the welfare of all students.

18+ hourly rate of £14.24.
