Main responsibilities:

  • Interact positively with children and encourage them to engage in constructive activities.
  • Help plan, prepare and deliver suitable play-based activities.
  • Contribute to a warm, caring and inclusive environment for all pupils.

  • Administer minor first aid, where trained, and support procedures for children who are unwell.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including recording accidents appropriately and informing parents where needed.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times.
  • Take care of your own health and safety and that of others.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can work well as part of a team.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality.
  • Is willing to follow school policies and procedures.
  • Previous experience of working with children would be an advantage, but the right attitude, care and reliability are equally important.
