We have an exciting opportunity within our Neurodevelopmental Services for a Clinically Registered Service Manager who can support the leadership and development of our growing Autism and ADHD assessment and intervention service. Currently, most services are delivered online, with possible travel into the community. Travel to the Northampton work base will be required for attendance at team meetings and supervision.

Successful candidates will have a clinical background (Allied Health Professional or Nursing) and registration, with experience in leading, developing and growing a service and ideally leading and developing an MDT within a neurodevelopment service. Although our offices are based in Northampton, the post holder will be required to travel into the community; a full driver’s licence is desirable.

Our Outpatients Services currently offer a range of services including a busy private therapy clinic, an Expert Witness Service, Diagnostic Assessment Clinics (ADHD and ASD) and a Complex Treatment Service for Military Veterans. This is a full-time permanent role with opportunities to work alongside other teams, collaborate, and complete CPD.

The role requires you to be a clinical professional with complementary skills, using your clinical expertise when working directly with patients, while mainly assuming leadership responsibility for the day-to-day running of the MDT team and organising rosters/on-call schedules. You will also have strong operational and financial skills, with financial oversight of the service’s performance and responsibilities for service development and growth.

You must be professionally registered (HCPC, NMC) and ideally have extensive experience within ASD/ADHD/Neurodevelopmental services to be considered. Strong leaders in other services may also be considered. Ideally, you will be an assessor within these services (ADHD, ASD) using tools such as ADOS, ADiR, DIVA, though this is not essential provided you have strong leadership experience in Neurodevelopmental services.

As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day coordination, organising, prioritising and balancing a range of responsibilities across the whole team, building relationships with key stakeholders and commissioners. As a clinician you will hold a caseload and use your expertise to support the service and team. The role will work closely with the Clinical Lead for Neurodevelopmental Services.

Our patients and colleagues will expect you to live the St Andrew’s CARE values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence every single day.
