Salary based on new NJC SCP 23-25 (£34,434 - £36,363 FTE). Actual salary £30,377 - £32,319. Full‑time, 37 hours per week, permanent. St Ambrose College, a high‑performing Catholic grammar school and proud member of the Laetare Multi Academy Trust, is seeking an exceptional Principal’s Personal Assistant. This pivotal and highly trusted role provides strategic and operational support to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the smooth running of leadership, governance and whole‑school coordination.

The successful candidate must be highly organised, proactive, discreet, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Flexibility is essential for occasional work beyond normal hours.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide high‑level PA support including diary management, correspondence, meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Governors and Trust Governance Services.
  • Prepare and publish documentation for Governing Body and Committee meetings.
  • Manage the whole‑school calendar and coordinate key events.
  • Support the Principal and SLT with recruitment, HR processes and compliance.
  • Support staff and pupil disciplinary processes and investigations.
  • Coordinate primary school engagement across partner schools within the Trust.
  • Support the day‑to‑day operation of school leadership.
