Fixed term, part time post from August 2026 (0.4 FTE until June 2027). The PE department consists of four full-time and two part-time staff, supported by sports coaches. We have a state‑of‑the‑art sports building on the main school site, with a court games hall, dance studio and fitness suite. At our offsite playing fields we have a facility which consists of five rugby pitches and a conditioning gym. We utilise the National Hockey Centre which boasts two water‑based astro‑turf pitches for our Hockey programme. Hockey, Rugby & Football are the main sports at the school; the department provides a broad and varied curricular and extra‑curricular provision which gives all pupils opportunities to reach their potential beyond the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Teach across the 3–18 age group as part of the PE department provision throughout the whole School.
- Create innovative lessons that engage and inspire pupils.
- Support the broad and varied sports curriculum, including Hockey, Rugby and Football.
- Encourage participation in extra‑curricular sports and represent the College at district and national level in athletics, basketball, climbing, football, golf, hockey, rugby and swimming.
- Deliver Saturday morning sport and contribute to competitive matches in Hockey and Rugby.
