The predicted salary is between 11 - 14 £ per hour.

The Receptionist/Administrator will work as part of our friendly Reception/Admin team. The post will be either 2 part-time or 1 full-time to work between 7.30am - 6.30pm.

You will provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service to patients, the full practice team including doctors, other health service professionals, all colleagues and visitors. You will act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the Practice and portray the Practice in the highest possible professional way. You will ensure that enquiries from patients are handled efficiently and courteously to the mutual satisfaction of the patients and the partners.

Main duties of the job:

  • The successful candidate must be understanding and approachable to patients and other team members.
  • The post-holder will be expected to have well-developed keyboard skills.
  • The Receptionist must be able to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • You will clearly understand the importance of maintaining patient and data confidentiality.

We are a forward thinking friendly team of over 20 staff, with partners, salaried GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Practice nurses, HCAs and a full reception and administrative support team.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

£12.21 an hour; this will go up in April 2026.
