The Bishop with the Team Rector seeks to appoint a Team Vicar (House for Duty) for the North London church of Arkley St Peter. St Peter’s, Arkley is a faithful congregation who are part of the Chipping Barnet Team ministry. We are looking for a House for Duty Priest (Sundays and 2 days) who will lead and enable the family of St Peter’s to move into the future with confidence, demonstrating the love of God by example, welcome and support.
We are looking for a Team Vicar who:
- is dedicated, well organised, conscientious and adaptable;
- respects our range and style of worship and the wearing of vestments;
- is an effective leader and team builder, who seeks to develop our church in all aspects of its Christian life;
- works cooperatively with others across the range of her or his pastoral and administrative responsibilities;
- is welcoming, “down to earth”, compassionate and supportive;
- is an effective and proactive communicator at all levels;
- values and respects the views and contribution of lay postholders and the congregation generally, and strives to ensure good collective governance;
- is energetic in seeking and developing links with the wider community;
- demonstrates her or his Christian faith in daily life.
