About the role
You will be based in the district's central car park office and will have day-to-day responsibility for supervising the Civil Enforcement Officers, overseeing deployment, performance, and operational standards. The role involves ensuring parking regulations are enforced fairly, accurately and consistently in line with legislation, guidance and council policy. You will support operational responses to issues such as abandoned vehicles, assist with event planning that impacts parking and highways, and help deliver service improvements and new initiatives alongside the senior management team. As part of the role, you will provide operational guidance, training and support to officers, undertake performance management activity, and assist with recruitment, appraisals and development. You will also deal with more complex or challenging public interactions, acting as a confident and professional senior presence on-street. You will work on a rota basis across a full week (Monday to Sunday).
About you
We are looking for an experienced enforcement professional who is ready to take on a supervisory role and support the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused parking service. The successful candidate will hold the City & Guilds Level 2 Award for Parking Enforcement (or equivalent) and have a good working knowledge of Traffic Regulation Orders, parking legislation, as well as the principles of good, proportionate and consistent enforcement.

- Have good general IT skills, including use of handheld enforcement devices and back-office systems
You will be self-motivated, proactive and capable of making sound operational decisions while supporting officers' performance, wellbeing and development.
