Job description and person specification summary
At St Alban's Catholic Primary School, we are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a 4 day per week basis, to join our skilled and hardworking team. The successful candidate will:
- be passionate about working with children;
- have a flexible 'can-do' attitude;
- have the capability to inspire, motivate and challenge our pupils;
- be committed to school's Catholic ethos.
The successful candidate will have the following key skills, experience and qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent level, including at least Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Maths;
- first aid training is advantageous;
- experience of working with children in an educational setting;
- sensitivity, understanding and good listening skills;
- the ability to remain calm in stressful situations;
- knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children;
- knowledge of how to help adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs.
