The Governors of St. Aidan’s Catholic Primary School, wish to appoint a professional and committed class teacher to cover maternity leave in a Y2 class.

The successful applicant will have proven experience of working with Primary children and have a range of strategies to promote good behaviour and establish a purposeful learning environment.
Excellent organisation and communication skills to deal with both children and adults are essential along with the ability to work under supervision and as a team member.
We are excited to appoint the right person to join our happy and committed team and therefore have no other particular or desirable strengths.
The main duties of the Class Teacher post are as follows
- To provide exciting and challenging learning experiences for our pupils.
- To follow our unique school curriculum to support progression and our children’s learning journey through school.
- To monitor, assess, record and report pupil achievement, progress and development.
- To provide support to pupils with barriers to learning on a one-to-one basis, in a small group or in full class.
- To develop and implement individual plans for pupils.
- To adjust lessons and/or work plans as appropriate.
- To provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on pupils’ achievement.
- To produce learning resources and work collaboratively.
- To deliver local and national learning strategies.
- To contribute to the development of relevant policies and procedures.
- To carry out duties in the most effective, efficient and economic manner available.
- To continue personal development in the relevant area.
- To participate in the staff review and development appraisal process.
- To motivate and lead a teaching assistant.
