We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic technician to support the Art and Technology faculty, focusing on Product Design and Engineering. The role involves preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and creating a safe, engaging workshop environment for students.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare materials and resources for teaching and learning.
  • Maintain and service workshop equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure the workshop environment is safe, clean, and engaging for students.
  • Provide practical support to teachers and students during lessons.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
Qualifications
  • Experience or strong interest in a technical or workshop environment.
  • Good understanding of materials, tools, and processes used in product design and engineering.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements; COSHH experience desirable.
  • Confidence using workshop machinery.
  • CAD/CAM experience considered an advantage.
  • Practical, organised, detail-oriented, proactive, flexible, and hardworking.
