We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic technician to support the Art and Technology faculty, focusing on Product Design and Engineering. The role involves preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and creating a safe, engaging workshop environment for students.
Responsibilities- Prepare materials and resources for teaching and learning.
- Maintain and service workshop equipment and machinery.
- Ensure the workshop environment is safe, clean, and engaging for students.
- Provide practical support to teachers and students during lessons.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
- Experience or strong interest in a technical or workshop environment.
- Good understanding of materials, tools, and processes used in product design and engineering.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements; COSHH experience desirable.
- Confidence using workshop machinery.
- CAD/CAM experience considered an advantage.
- Practical, organised, detail-oriented, proactive, flexible, and hardworking.
