\nJoin our expanding team who are delivering life safety solutions across the central belt and beyond. You will be joining a company which has been supplying security systems for seventeen years and has recently expanded into the fire safety compartmentation sector.
\nThe Role:
\nThe successful applicant will be working on a part-time basis with a team of experienced engineers and be responsible for the cradle-to-grave delivery of minor and major project activity. If the business keeps expanding there may be scope for the role to expand to full-time.
\nWe are seeking an ambitious, driven and enthusiastic individual who is familiar with construction terminology & project planning, ideally on a commercial scale. The role is office based in Livingston.
\n \nThe role will include planning a varied range of commercial projects. Good communication skills are required as you will be procuring materials, liaising with clients and synchronising multiple engineers in the delivery of each project. No sales skills are required as all business leads will come from the Director, who you will be working beside directly.
\nResponsibilities include:
\nA varied range of administrative tasks which will be conducted in line with our certification group’s guidelines. You will be appropriately trained in BM Trada’s Q-Mark Fire Stopping Installation scheme.
\n \nSupporting field engineers remotely. Ensuring their practical work is accurately logged, processed and filed.
\nMaintain ongoing training of existing and potentially new members of staff for competence and legal compliance in fire stopping and fire door installation.
\nWho we are looking for:
\n \nYour skills, abilities and experience should include:
\n• Computer literate with knowledge of record management and e-planning systems
\n• Fluency with the Microsoft Office suite
\n• Numerate
\n• Excellent written and oral skills
\n• Articulate with excellent interpersonal skills
\n• Current UK Driving Licence
\n \nIdeally, but not essentially, you’ll also have:
\n \n• Up-to-date knowledge of The Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006
\n• Knowledge and experience of website building
