Project Manager physical security systems required for our client in the Great Manchester/Cheshire area. Rewarding package with up to £60,000 basic salary DOE.

The Role is to project manage and coordinate the deployment of security solutions, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems, as well as networking, ensuring compliance with security standards, regulations, and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution - Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables based on security requirements and develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring compliance with security regulations.
  • Security Systems Implementation & Oversight - Oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of security systems including:
  • CCTV (IP cameras, cloud storage, video analytics).
  • Access Control Systems (Knowledge of WinPak preferred).
  • Intrusion Detection & Alarm Systems.
  • Monitoring equipment.
  • Network Solutions (firewalls, WAN, and LAN).
  • System Integration (hardware, software).
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
  • Management - Will be the coordinator between security engineers, IT teams, and clients. Conduct regular project updates and risk assessments with stakeholders, ensuring workplace safety and adherence to security protocols whilst managing security vendors and contractors.
  • Budget Management and Reporting - Monitor project costs ensure cost-effective security solutions and optimize resource allocation (manpower, equipment, software). Define and track KPIs for project success including system uptime and reliability, incident response time, compliance audit results, and prepare project reports, risk assessments, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, networking) and familiarity with cloud-based security platforms (e.g., Eagle Eye Networks). Experience with network security, firewalls, LAN, and WAN with knowledge of security compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, British Standards, NSi) as well as being proficient in project management and design tools (Trello, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD).
    • General Skills - Strong risk management and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple security projects simultaneously as well as being an excellent communicator, team leader, and having strong organizational skills.
    • Education & Experience - Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Project Management Certifications i.e. PRINCE2 (preferred). 2+ years of experience in security systems project management (required). Hands-on experience with security hardware and software deployment (preferred).
