Are you an experienced Security Professional looking for an opportunity to influence security strategy within a highly regulated and nationally important environment? We are recruiting for an exceptional Security Controller to join a respected organisation operating within the Defence and Critical Infrastructure sectors. This is a pivotal role where you will lead security governance, compliance, risk management, personnel security and physical security activities, ensuring the organisation continues to meet demanding government, customer and industry security requirements.
Key Responsibility- Lead and advise on security compliance across enterprise, contract and bid activities, ensuring full compliance with Defence and Government security requirements including Facility Security Controller (FSC) responsibilities, Security Aspects Letters (SAL), Customer Security Manager (CSM) requirements, Defence Conditions (DCC) and F1686 obligations.
- Security governance, compliance and assurance
- Security risk management and mitigation
- Physical and personnel security management
- Security audits, inspections and assurance activities
- Incident management and investigations
- Security awareness, training and culture development
- Support for ISO 27001 and information security initiatives
- Provide expert guidance and assurance on enterprise, contract and bid-related security compliance requirements, including FSC, CSM/DCC, SAL and F1686, ensuring alignment with Government and Defence security policies, standards and contractual obligations
- Act as a trusted security advisor to senior stakeholders, project teams and bid functions on security governance and regulatory requirements
Experience operating within Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear, Government or other highly regulated environments. Strong understanding of Government security frameworks and compliance requirements. Experience working with or supporting FSC, SAL, CSM/DCC, F1686 and UK Government security policies. Experience conducting security audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews. Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
