We are taking applications for this exclusive vacancy to work for our client, a leading aerospace and defence research company. They seek a Site Security Controller to manage all aspects of physical and procedural security operations in line with company security policy.
This role involves overseeing physical and procedural security operations, ensuring compliance with MOD and client requirements. The successful candidate will manage the security team, conduct audits, implement security controls, and liaise with government regulators. This role is ideal for a seasoned security professional with a proven record in managing security teams and operations in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the site physical security operations team.
- Serve as the security subject matter expert and promote a strong security culture.
- Develop and maintain the site risk register and threat assessments.
- Conduct first-line audits and security musters for MOD, clients, and internal teams.
- Perform security reviews and support teams in infrastructure upgrades for compliance.
- Ensure proper handling and accountability of protectively marked assets/information.
- Liaise with government regulators on security frameworks and requirements.
- Maintain compliance with legislative and industry security standards.
- Oversee manned guarding service providers and ensure contract compliance.
- Provide security expertise to emergency planning teams.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to align security needs with business strategy.
- Represent security in Site Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) activities.
- Extensive security experience in high-profile, high-risk environments managing classified materials.
- Previous experience working as a Site Security Manager/Controller.
