Shift: 42 hour contract, 4 on and 4 off over nights and days with 12-hour shifts, 07:00 to 19:00 four days and 19:00 to 07:00 four nights.

Role Overview
As a Security Supervisor, you will lead and support a team of security officers in delivering exceptional security and customer service standards across a historic and vibrant location.
Youβll play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff, business residents, members,
and visitors, whilst ensuring full compliance with security protocols and emergency response procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, support, and coordinate the security team during your shift, ensuring efficient delivery of all daily security operations.
Lead by example, fulfilling all core duties of the security officer role as needed.
Organise and manage shift schedules, arrange cover when required, and ensure optimal team performance.
Serve as the first point of contact for shift-related management issues, providing immediate and effective responses.
Oversee accurate documentation in the Daily Occurrence Book and follow up on relevant actions.
Manage clear and concise shift handovers and ensure continuity of service.
Attend weekly management meetings and cascade key updates and initiatives to the team.
Support staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development.
Uphold quality and compliance standards across the team, conducting regular checks and mentoring staff.
Maintain essential Gatehouse records including key audits, access logs, and information folders.
Operate and monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems with confidence and technical expertise.
Handle subject access requests in line with GDPR and data protection legislation.
Maintain detailed shift reports and incident logs to ensure accountability and transparency.
Manage daily gate receipts, including reconciliation of tickets, cash, and card transactions.
Assist in coordinating and executing regular fire drills across the estate.
Work closely with other departments, residents, chambers, and external contractors on day-to-day matters and security concerns.
Stay informed on emerging security trends and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a security role with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong leadership and motivational skills with the ability to lead by example.
Solid understanding of security protocols, emergency response, and risk management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally across teams and with stakeholders.
Sound judgment and calm decision-making under pressure.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Confident in using security systems including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
Comfortable handling enquiries in person, via phone, or by email in a courteous and efficient manner.
