Are you an experienced security and loss prevention leader looking for an opportunity to make a real impact within a global retail organisation? Our client is seeking a Regional Security Manager to lead security, loss prevention, and risk management activities across the UK and Ireland for a highly successful and rapidly expanding international retailer. Reporting to the Global Security Manager (Retail), you will play a critical role in protecting people, assets, operations, and brand reputation while supporting ambitious business growth plans.

This is a highly visible role that combines strategic security leadership with hands-on operational delivery across retail stores, corporate functions, logistics operations, and business events.

The Opportunity

As Regional Security Manager, you will act as the trusted security advisor for the region, partnering with senior stakeholders to identify risks, develop practical solutions, and ensure security programmes effectively support commercial objectives. You will lead initiatives focused on retail crime prevention, stock loss reduction, investigations, crisis management, travel security, and operational resilience while building strong relationships with internal teams, law enforcement, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead security and loss prevention activities across the UK and Ireland.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external security networks.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to people, assets, operations, and reputation.
  • Drive retail crime prevention initiatives and reduce stock loss across the business.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and retail store reviews.
  • Oversee security incident investigations and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of guarding services and security providers.
  • Support new store openings, business events, and operational projects.
  • Contribute to crisis preparedness, incident response, and business continuity activities.
  • Provide analysis and reporting on security trends, threats, and emerging risks.
  • Support travel risk management and employee wellbeing initiatives.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement across security operations.

About You

You are a commercially minded security professional who understands how effective security programmes support business success. You combine strong operational expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills and can influence at all levels of an organisation.

You will ideally have:

  • Significant experience in retail loss prevention, corporate security, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing retail crime, shrinkage reduction, and stock loss prevention programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of security risk management and investigative practices.
  • Experience conducting security assessments across retail, logistics, or multi-site environments.
  • Practical knowledge of CCTV, access control, and other security technologies.
  • Experience managing major incidents, crisis situations, or business disruptions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to analyse data, identify trends, and translate findings into practical business solutions.
  • Experience working with law enforcement, external partners, and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional security certifications or memberships are advantageous (ASIS, Loss Prevention Foundation, BRC, ELPAC, OSAC, or equivalent).
