HGV Class 1 Drivers Days / Work Through to Christmas / Up to £29.33 per Hour

Looking for steady driving work and strong earnings right through to Christmas? Pertemps are recruiting Class 1 Drivers for an ongoing assignment in Banbury, starting ASAP and running through to 24 December 2026.

With regular weekday shifts, daytime work and peak pay rates rising to £22.00 per hour from 1 st November, this is a great opportunity to get settled into consistent work in the run up to Christmas.

Pay rates

Now until 31 October:

• £17.67 per hour for the first 50 hours per week
• £22.97 per hour for overtime above 50 hours per week

Peak rates: 1 November24 December:

• £22.00 per hour for the first 50 hours per week
• £29.33 per hour for overtime above 50 hours per week

Paid weekly, with holiday pay and a pension scheme.

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 04:00 and 07:00
• Average shifts of 10 hours
• Day shifts throughout the assignment
• Work planned through to Christmas Eve

The role

Youll deliver stock to stores nationwide, working with a modern fleet and a supportive transport team.

• Typically 45 deliveries per shift
• Palletised deliveries using a tail-lift
• Some unloading of light stock at delivery points

What youll need

• A valid HGV Class 1 / LGV 1 / Category C+E licence
• At least 180 days of UK Class 1 driving experience within the last two years
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points, with no DR or IN endorsements
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and driving regulations
