As a Pre‑Sales Design Lead within this rapidly expanding company, you will lead and support allocated opportunities throughout the bid and pre‑construction phases. You will be responsible for managing the scoping, design, costing, and proposal development of Smart Building solutions that meet client requirements across sectors including enterprise, hospitality, residential, and data centres.
Our Smart Building solutions include:
- Master System Integration (MSI) and Master System Operator services
- Building IoT (building and occupant monitoring)
- ICT cabling infrastructure (copper and fibre)
- Networks (LAN, Wi‑Fi, voice, mobile, servers, storage)
- Electronic security (access control, CCTV, intercom, intruder)
- Audio Visual (video conferencing, IPTV, FIRS, digital signage, background music)
Following contract award, you will support the pre‑construction phase by providing technical and commercial input, ensuring compliance with client requirements and a smooth handover to delivery and support teams. This role covers the full lifecycle from initial enquiry to contract award and post‑award pre‑construction activities. It is suited to candidates with strong experience in designing, estimating, and tendering Smart Building solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience designing Smart Building solutions across multiple sectors
- Strong knowledge of MSI, IoT, ICT cabling, networking, security, and AV systems
- Experience delivering large, multi‑technology projects within construction environments
- Strong commercial awareness, including bid analysis, costing, and financial reporting
- Understanding of pre‑construction processes, including technical submittals, RFIs, change control, and variations
- Ability to produce and analyse project costing spreadsheets (.xlsx)
- Strong vendor management and product knowledge
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
