A leading Fire, Security and BMS systems installer and service provider is seeking a Contract Manager to join its London team. The company delivers installation, maintenance and management services across prestigious commercial properties in London and the surrounding counties. The successful applicant will lead a dedicated Contract Delivery Team, managing a portfolio of high profile commercial sites across sectors including Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, Heritage and Leisure. The role combines team leadership, client relationship management, operational planning and financial oversight to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for key clients, building strong relationships and ensuring service excellence.
- Lead and develop a team of Senior Engineers, Engineers and Apprentices.
- Manage account activity, advising clients on budgets, upgrades and long term planning.
- Prepare accurate quotations and maintain detailed site knowledge.
- Support service delivery, ensuring KPIs and contractual standards are consistently met.
- Plan and deliver minor works; collaborate with Project Managers on larger installations.
- Maintain financial control through monthly reviews, invoicing and forecasting.
- Oversee SHEQ responsibilities, including approval of RAMS and compliance monitoring.
- Conduct staff appraisals and support ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to team growth and continuous improvement across the business.
Candidate Profile
- Strong technical or engineering background, ideally within Fire, Security or BMS systems.
- Confident coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
- Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
- Commercially aware with strong numerical and decision making skills.
- Comfortable with a mix of office work, site visits and occasional home working.
