Summary of Duties:

  • Be on the customer sites for the vast majority of the works, hands on commissioning.
  • Coordinate, Commission, Test & Troubleshoot projects for all locations covered by the business unit.
  • Manage all server deployments and all programming activities.
  • Inspect cable installation, device installation, head-end build out, system final termination, programming, and testing of systems.
  • Take responsibility for adherence to our technical standards on all projects.
  • Communicate with PM and internal staff regarding engineering tasks and follow up action items.
  • Provide Technical / Operational support to all our teams when required.
  • Ensure all projects that are delivered have undergone a detailed technical review and a validated Commissioning process.
  • Service and maintenance support – on some occasions, assist field engineers, LSPs and clients resolving technical problems, commissioning/programming.
  • Providing remote support to customers, colleagues, and subcontractors.
  • Adhere to existing processes for commissioning, QA/QC & project sign off.
  • Manage, supervise, and organize existing junior Engineers; mentor, train and develop their skillset.

Education and Experience:

  • 5 years or more field experience of commissioning medium to large size enterprise level access control systems.
  • 5 years or more field experience of commissioning medium to large size enterprise level CCTV systems.
  • 10 years or more experience working in the electronic security system industry.
  • Wide range of customer base (datacentres, office buildings, warehousing, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Enterprise Level Access control to at least basic qualification - Lenel, S2, Ccure, Openpath, Feenics, AMAG, ProWatch, Genetec.
  • Enterprise Level CCTV and Video Management Systems to at least a basic qualification - Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon.
