Our client is looking to recruit a dynamic and technically proficient National Business Development Manager to drive sales growth in fire alarm systems and life safety market. This role requires expertise in fire alarm design and compliance, with a strong ability to engage clients, develop strategic partnerships, and generate new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and develop new opportunities within commercial, industrial, and residential sectors for fire alarm systems.
  • Technical Sales: Provide expert guidance on fire alarm system design, ensuring solutions meet BS 5839 standards and industry regulations.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and end-users.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Site Surveys & System Design Support: Work closely with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest innovations and compliance requirements in fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Tendering & Quotations: Prepare and submit proposals, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with client specifications.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams including design, installation, and service departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven track record in business development and sales within the fire alarm industry, with technical design knowledge and experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of BS 5839, EN54 regulations, and fire detection system components.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to negotiate, close deals, and manage customer accounts effectively.
  • Industry Contacts: Established network within fire alarm manufacturers, installers, and consultants.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel nationally to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Qualifications: FIA certifications, electrical or fire engineering background preferred.

Benefits:
