SSQ are working with a leading technology-first professional services organisation on a senior data and AI legal role within a well-regarded in-house team. This is a broad, high-impact position sitting across legal, privacy and compliance, with real exposure to AI, complex data use, and strategic decision-making across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drafting and negotiating data processing and data sharing agreements
- Advising on cutting-edge, data-centred projects (including AI), covering areas such as international transfers, legitimate interests and wider data protection requirements
- Acting as the lead on data protection matters within the legal team
- Managing and developing junior privacy lawyers, while supporting colleagues on data-related aspects of their work
- Helping shape how the business collects, stores and uses personal data, including policy development and interpreting regulatory change, enforcement trends and case law
- Acting as the UK point of contact within a global network on data privacy matters

- England & Wales qualified lawyer with solid post-qualification experience (10-20PQE)
- Strong knowledge of UK/EU data protection law
- Experience in a commercial, tech or data-heavy environment
