This magic circle firm is currently looking to hire an associate into its London-based Trade & Sanctions team, with a focus on export controls, UK/EU sanctions and broader trade-related advisory work. The team has a strong and growing pipeline of work across sanctions, export controls and transactional support, and is looking to bring in a mid-level associate (ideally 2-4 PQE) to sit between a strong group of junior lawyers and more senior lawyers in the group.
The role has a heavy emphasis on transactional support, including sanctions and export control advice on M&A, financings, JVs and capital markets transactions. There is also exposure to compliance and advisory matters, alongside adjacent areas such as ESG, supply chain and regulatory governance work.
The team operates across a wide range of sectors including financial services, energy, infrastructure, technology and industrials. They are particularly keen to speak with candidates who have strong experience in export controls and sanctions, alongside exposure to corporate or finance transactions.
