London, Hybrid working, Reporting to General Counsel. SSQ is delighted to partner with a fast-growing Fintech to secure a corporate lawyer. This will be a senior role with management responsibilities, focusing on general corporate, share schemes, investor relations, debt, and securitisation work.

Core responsibilities:- Advise on a variety of legal matters, including varied corporate and strategic matters.
- Provide legal advice to various stakeholders and product owners within the business across all aspects of a variety of legal matters (in line with the FCA).
- Management and assistance with a variety of corporate project work, including debt transactions, securitisation, share schemes, M&A and senior investor relations.
- Act as a key legal advisor to the Co-Founders, Board, C-Suite and CFO across a variety of legal matters.
- Work alongside the General Counsel to advise on complex and transformational transactions for the business (including capital raises and IPO readiness).
- Resolve issues that arise in existing commercial and corporate deals.
- Engage directly with the investors of the business across the various corporate workstreams where required.
- Supervise and assist junior team members.
- Qualified in England and Wales with at least 6 years post qualification experience.
- Strong general corporate experience from an in-house company or private practice firm.
- Experience undertaking the execution of transactions and oversee junior lawyers assisting with this.
- Experience in advising on share incentive schemes and company secretarial matters (preferred).
