An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer (7+ years' PQE) to join the London office of a leading international law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role sits within a highly regarded financial services regulatory practice and offers the opportunity to advise a broad range of clients on complex, non-contentious regulatory matters across the fintech and financial services sector.
The successful candidate will advise on a wide range of financial services regulatory issues, including:
- Payments services, e-money and fintech regulation
- Consumer credit and retail financial services
- Regulatory perimeter analysis and strategic advice
- Financial promotions, conduct regulation and governance
- Regulatory engagement and implementation projects
Working alongside an established team, you will provide commercially focused advice to clients ranging from innovative fintech businesses to established financial institutions.
You will have:
- Approximately 7+ years' PQE (or equivalent) in non-contentious financial services regulatory law
- Strong expertise in fintech, payments and e-money regulation
- A solid grounding in consumer credit and retail financial services regulation
- Experience advising on FCA regulatory matters, governance and financial promotions
- Excellent commercial awareness and strong client relationship skills
- A collaborative approach with an interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development
