SSQ is assisting a leading UK-HQ financial institution to recruit a Real Estate Finance Lawyer with at least 3PQE to join its in-house legal team in London. This is a key hire within a high-performing group that plays a central role in supporting the firm’s complex investment portfolio.
This role will focus on real estate finance transactions, advising the asset origination team on high-value secured lending and investment matters. This role also offers exposure to a broad range of asset financing transactions including general finance, structured finance, capital markets and derivatives.
Key Responsibilities- Advise on, draft, and negotiate term sheets and transaction documentation for real estate finance and other asset-backed investments.
- Review and coordinate real estate due diligence and non-disclosure agreements.
- Manage business-as-usual queries and ongoing asset management matters with a practical, commercial approach.
- Assist with the interpretation of regulatory requirements applicable to insurance and investment activities.
- Coordinate and manage external legal counsel to ensure efficient execution of transactions.
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 3 years’ PQE gained at a leading law firm.
- Demonstrable RE finance experience and a strong understanding of security structures.
- Excellent transaction management and drafting skills.
- Commercial mindset and the ability to provide pragmatic, business-oriented advice.
The expectation is that you will be in the office 4 days / week.
