SSQ is partnering with an international law firm in their search for a M&A paralegal.
OverviewThis role involves supporting lawyers in all stages of corporate transactions and preparing documents necessary to comply with international and local regulations in the conduct of business activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing corporate documents and materials.
Support with the formation of corporations (both business and not-for-profit), partnerships and limited liability companies.
Draft documentation for amendments, withdrawals, mergers and dissolutions of corporate entities.
Work directly with associates and clients during closings and corporate transactions.
Provide support in the preparation for and completion of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings.
Monitor and track activity in the corporate/M&A market; update and maintain databases.
Provide general administrative assistance and support the legal team with know-how, project work and other ad hoc tasks.
Candidate Profile & Skills
Degree educated with 2–3 years of recent transactional paralegal experience within a professional services environment.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple concurrent assignments.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with lawyers, clients, and colleagues at all levels.
Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
Proactive, motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to use initiative.
Flexibility to work overtime at short notice when required.
