Our client, a leading Technology and Business Consultancy, seeks to recruit a commercial counsel to join their in-house legal team due to business growth. The role involves working on complex contractual and commercial deals, negotiating with clients in the Private, Financial Services and/or Public Sector within the technology and consulting space.
You will deliver business-focused solutions, acting as a strategic legal and deal advisor, partnering directly with the Business to assess and understand how risks can be managed and mitigated while advising on deal structure and strategy.
- Negotiate complex technology-based contracts for software implementation and application management services, including regular interactions with client legal teams and their external counsel.
- Review and negotiate engagement contracts across Consulting and MSAs/framework agreements, including direct discussions with clients and their legal advisors.
- Work closely with the business to discuss and develop commercial offerings as they move to a more innovative way of pricing their services.
- Draft and negotiate ancillary commercial contracts, including alliance agreements, product/asset licences, engagement letters, sub-contracts, and teaming agreements.
- Advise senior management and practitioners on general legal and risk management issues.
Applicants should have a minimum of 5+ years PQE experience in negotiating complex commercial and technology contracts and professional service framework agreements. Experience in one or more of Cloud Solutions, Managed Services or Assets is preferable.
