A top US law firm is seeking to make a permanent hire into its Employment practice in London. The team is open on seniority and will consider either an experienced Senior Paralegal or a qualified Employment Lawyer, depending on background and overall suitability.

This role is centred on advisory employment law and practice support, rather than deal-driven work. The role carries a lower level of intensity than traditional associate positions, while still providing meaningful involvement in client matters, pro bono initiatives, and the ongoing development of the practice.

Working alongside partners and senior practitioners, the successful candidate will contribute to the day-to-day running of the employment practice. The position involves handling ongoing employment law queries, preparing written materials such as client briefings and guidance notes, and developing internal knowledge resources. There is also scope to assist with client development activity, training initiatives and other practice-wide projects.

A significant element of the role is dedicated to pro bono work, which forms a meaningful part of the team’s wider offering and allows senior fee-earners to focus on chargeable matters.

The firm is interested in candidates with solid experience across core areas of employment law who are comfortable working in a client-facing, fee-earning environment. Strong drafting skills are essential, particularly the ability to produce clear, professional materials for external audiences. Experience supporting corporate clients would be advantageous but is not a requirement. An interest in contributing to knowledge development and the wider growth of the practice will be viewed positively.
