A high-growth, UK-headquartered digital media platform is seeking a commercial Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior commercial lawyer to take their first (or second) in-house role and gain broad, hands-on experience in a fast-paced, international environment. Working closely with the Lead Commercial Counsel and cross-functional teams such as Brand, Finance, and Product, you’ll provide pragmatic, commercially driven legal advice across the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial tech / digital contracts, supplier and sponsorship agreements
  • Supporting legal operations, including contract lifecycle management and compliance processes
  • Assisting with intragroup agreements and intellectual property matters, such as trademark portfolio management
  • Advising internal stakeholders to ensure legal input is aligned with business priorities
  • Helping to improve and maintain legal templates, processes, and playbooks

Candidate profile:

  • UK-qualified solicitor with roughly 1–3 years’ PQE, likely gained in a top-tier law firm
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial technology contracts OR exposure to media-related agreements (licensing, talent, sponsorship, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a pragmatic commercial approach
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple workstreams
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with legal tech tools (e.g. DocuSign, LinkSquares) is a plus
