We are working with an international law firm who are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Restructuring & Insolvency team on a fixed-term contract. The role can be based in London or Bristol, with flexibility for hybrid working. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established restructuring practice with a strong reputation for advising on complex stressed and distressed situations.
The Practice
They advise on high-profile domestic and cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters that are primarily non-contentious. Lawyers in the team work closely with all key stakeholders in distressed situations, including corporate debtors, lenders, and sponsors. The team regularly collaborates with restructuring accountants, turnaround specialists, and other advisors, and has particular sector experience across areas such as:
- Retail
- Digital businesses
- Energy and renewables
- Real estate and infrastructure
The Team
The restructuring practice works closely with colleagues across the firm’s UK offices and international network. The team is well-resourced and collaborative, and is comprised of dedicated restructuring partners, associates, trainees and a knowledge lawyer.
Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a qualified lawyer with experience in restructuring, insolvency, or special situations. Key requirements include:
- 1–8 years’ PQE (flexible depending on experience).
- Experience working on restructuring and insolvency matters
- Ability to work with financing, security and related transactional documentation
- Strong commercial judgement and practical approach to advice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
