SSQ is delighted to partner with a well-known household name brand to secure an additional employment counsel for their team of seven.

This position will manage and assist with all employment queries, be involved in varied employment projects, and provide advice and guidance to key stakeholders.

This position is suited to someone 3+PQE based in Hampshire or Dorset, or a commutable distance from either. The team will consider employment profressionals from Private Practice or in-house companies.

Responsibilities:

• Your role will be to provide expert legal guidance, provide the strategic vision and direction, and manage employment legal queries.
• You will carry out a wide range of legal work and provide advice and guidance, as well as negotiate and resolve disputes.
• Responsibility for line management and mentoring of a trainee solicitor or apprentice solicitor within the legal team.
• Management of all employment contracts including employment Contracts; Pay Disputes; termination and cessation of employment; TUPE issues and oversight of Employment Tribunals

Application Criteria:

• A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Have proven experience in dealing with varied caseloads with the minimum of supervision
• Management of significant employment case-loads effectively
• Will accept applications from those with in-house or Private Practice experience
