The Opportunity
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Associate with 5+ years' PQE to join its highly regarded London practice.
The team has an established reputation advising major investment banks, financial institutions, corporates and sovereign issuers on complex domestic and international debt capital markets transactions.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated and internationally integrated practice, working on high-profile transactions and alongside leading practitioners in the DCM market.
The Role
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of debt capital markets matters, including:
- Investment-grade bond issuances
- High-yield debt offerings
- EMTN programmes and standalone debt issuances
- Regulatory capital and hybrid securities
- Liability management exercises and tender offers
- Debt capital markets transactions involving corporate and financial institution issuers
- Domestic and cross-border capital markets transactions
- General DCM regulatory and advisory matters
The Ideal Candidate
- A UK-qualified solicitor with 5+ years' PQE
- Strong experience in debt capital markets transactions
- Experience gained at a leading UK, US or international law firm
- Experience advising issuers, underwriters or financial institutions on complex DCM transactions
- Excellent technical, drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage transactions independently
- Ambitious, commercially minded and keen to develop within a leading international capital markets practice
