An elite US law firm is seeking a talented Antitrust Associate (2β6 PQE) to join its market-leading Competition practice in London. This is an opportunity to advise on some of the world's most high-profile and strategically significant transactions, investigations and disputes, working alongside recognised leaders in the field across Europe, the US and Asia.
The Role
- You will advise an impressive international client base, including private equity sponsors, multinational corporations and financial institutions, on a broad range of UK, EU and cross-border competition law matters.
- Your work will include:
- Advising on the competition aspects of complex domestic and international M&A transactions.
- Managing merger control and foreign direct investment (FDI) filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Advising clients on UK and EU competition law issues throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Representing clients in cartel investigations, behavioural investigations and regulatory enquiries.
- Working closely with economists, regulators and specialist counsel on high-value, strategically important matters.
- Assisting with competition litigation and follow-on damages claims where required.
- Collaborating with corporate, private equity and litigation teams on multidisciplinary mandates.
The Candidate
- Applications are welcomed from associates with:
- 2β6 years' post-qualification experience gained at a leading UK, US or international law firm.
- Strong experience in UK and/or EU competition law.
- Exposure to merger control, cartel investigations or competition litigation.
- Experience advising on complex cross-border transactions.
- Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills.
- Strong academics and a commercially focused approach to client service.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative international environment.
