An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer (7+ years' PQE) to join the London office of a leading international law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role sits within a highly regarded financial services regulatory practice and offers the opportunity to advise a broad range of clients on complex, non-contentious regulatory matters across the fintech and financial services sector.

The successful candidate will advise on a wide range of financial services regulatory issues, including:

  • Payments services, e-money and fintech regulation
  • Consumer credit and retail financial services
  • Regulatory perimeter analysis and strategic advice
  • Financial promotions, conduct regulation and governance
  • Regulatory engagement and implementation projects

Working alongside an established team, you will provide commercially focused advice to clients ranging from innovative fintech businesses to established financial institutions.

About You

You will have:

  • Approximately 7+ years' PQE (or equivalent) in non-contentious financial services regulatory law
  • Strong expertise in fintech, payments and e-money regulation
  • A solid grounding in consumer credit and retail financial services regulation
  • Experience advising on FCA regulatory matters, governance and financial promotions
  • Excellent commercial awareness and strong client relationship skills
  • A collaborative approach with an interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development
