SSQ have partnered with an insurance organisation to recruit a 2-4 PQE Commercial Insurance Solicitor. This is a growth position in a team that has been expanding rapidly over the past 18 months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for in-house legal matters, including drafting agreements, addressing compliance issues, and participating in negotiation discussions. Covering both Commercial Tech and Commercial Insurance, this sits in a team of around 10 people.
Responsibilities
- Insurance Agreements and Documents: Assisting on Delegated Underwriting Agreements, London Market Agreements, Binding Agreements, Consulting Agreements as required
- Assisting and leading on reviewing insurance product wordings
- Undertaking a wide range of other general insurance commercial contracts, with drafting and negotiation
- Provide legal support to the various internal departments
- Supporting the Privacy & Information Security teams with advising and drafting on Data Protection Clauses
- Work with other in-house counsels and outside counsels, as required
Qualifications
- 3+ years of post-qualification experience
- Experience working in an in-house environment, ideally at an insurance company or as part of an insurance team
- Experience working as a commercial contract or commercial insurance lawyer
