An international law firm is seeking an interim Financial Services Regulatory Associate to join its highly regarded London regulatory practice on a 3–6 month fixed-term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with broad financial regulatory experience to work on a diverse mix of advisory and transactional matters across the financial services and funds sectors. The role offers exposure to complex cross-border work, close collaboration with senior lawyers, and the opportunity to advise a sophisticated client base on cutting-edge regulatory developments.

The team advises a broad range of clients including asset managers, investment funds, financial institutions, private fund sponsors, wealth managers and other market participants on UK and European regulatory matters.

The practice covers the full spectrum of financial services regulation, including:

  • Financial services and funds regulatory advisory work
  • Regulatory aspects of domestic and cross-border transactions
  • Ongoing regulatory compliance and governance matters
  • FCA regulatory issues
  • Fintech and digital assets regulation

The team works closely with colleagues across corporate, finance, funds and other transactional practices, providing regulatory support on some of the market’s most significant transactions.

The successful candidate will support on a broad range of financial regulatory matters, including:

  • Advising clients on UK and EU financial services regulation
  • Supporting transactional teams on regulatory aspects of corporate, finance and funds transactions
  • Assisting with fund regulatory matters, including formation, structuring and ongoing compliance
  • Advising on FCA regulatory requirements and governance frameworks
  • Conducting regulatory analysis and drafting client advice

Requirements:

  • More than years' post-qualification experience gained at a leading law firm
  • Strong experience in financial services regulation
  • Experience supporting both advisory and transactional regulatory matters
