Exciting Leadership Opportunity In Legal Services
SSQ is proud to exclusively represent a boutique professional services firm in their search for a Head of Law to spearhead the growth and development of their legal consulting business. This role is tailored for a seasoned legal director, partner or legal consultant with a passion for entrepreneurship, networking, and business leadership.
The Role:
As the newly appointed Head of Law, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the legal business working with a range of SME clients across various sectors (retail, leisure, hospitality, technology, property, services, etc). Your responsibilities will encompass leading and managing the business unit's team, overseeing budgeting, reporting, and KPIs. In your capacity as the head of the business, you will actively cultivate client relationships, delivering straightforward legal advice. The bulk of the work will be general commercial, corporate, data privacy, compliance, and corporate governance law.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, with a minimum of 10+ years PQE.
- Extensive expertise in corporate/commercial law, ideally focused on the SME market.
- Strong business acumen, understanding clients' business needs and challenges.
- Excellent written and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals, SMEs and HNWIs.
Please note this is a client-facing role with billable hours.
