Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is seeking a highly motivated, culturally-obsessed Account Executive. This role is designed for a professional with 3–4 years of experience who is ready to master the ins and outs of personal representation—from managing a red carpet to architecting a talent’s public narrative. You are a creative thinker who thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. You understand that working with talent requires a unique blend of tenacity, discretion, and meticulous attention to detail. If you have a deep foundation in entertainment media and a passion for the behind-the-scenes mechanics of the entertainment industry, we want to hear from you.
The Role:
- Personal Representation & Support: Assist in executing comprehensive communications strategies for talent. You’ll manage the essential day-to-day logistics, including scheduling, coordinating glam/grooming, and providing on-site staffing support.
- Red Carpet & Event Mastery: Support the planning and execution of press moments and events. You’ll own the backend logistics—from invitation strategy and RSVP management to wrangling media on-site and credentialing.
- Integrated Storytelling: Work within an integrated agency model, collaborating with internal groups to ensure talent narratives are consistent across social, brand, and traditional media platforms.
- Content & Writing Excellence: Draft, edit, and proofread high-impact materials, including press releases, pitches, briefing notes, and talent correspondence.
- Media Relations: Maintain and expand your arsenal of go-to entertainment reporters. You know how to pitch the right story to the right person to secure meaningful coverage for your clients.
- Trend & News Intelligence: Act as the team’s eyes and ears. Monitor news cycles and pop‑culture trends to flag breaking opportunities or competitor news that impacts your talent roster.
- Account Stewardship: Support senior managers in achieving deliverables for a roster of 4–6 clients. This includes the administrative precision required to keep accounts running: agendas, recaps, and analysis reports.
- The Relationship Standard: You understand that we are in a people business. You lead by example in how you treat your co‑workers, clients, and the media—prioritising trust and confidentiality above all else.
Who You Are:
- The Talent Specialist: 3–4 years of PR experience, with at least 2 years specifically focused on talent management (at a PR firm, agency, or management firm).
- High EQ: You possess high emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor around high‑profile talent. You have the discretion to handle sensitive information.
- Meticulously Organized: You have a tenacious follow‑through and an eagle eye for detail. You can coordinate complex projects on the backend without letting a single task slip.
- A Resourceful Problem‑Solver: You are curious, entrepreneurial, and have a nothing is impossible attitude when it comes to meeting client deadlines and needs.
- A Strong Writer: You are fast, persuasive, and adaptable, capable of drafting everything from a formal bio to a punchy pitch.
- Driven to Over‑Deliver: You don’t just meet expectations; you constantly strive for excellence and take genuine pride in being part of a high‑performing team.
Benefits: We go well beyond the benefits that you’re looking for: medical, dental, and vision plans, pension, annual merit‑based bonuses and annual leave. Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis offers those benefits and many perks including a flexible work schedule, Work from Anywhere program, Summer Fridays, Wellness Days, and a 4‑week sabbatical or trip to celebrate select anniversaries. We provide collaborative workspaces, rooftops, team celebrations, and networking opportunities. We frequently mark opportunities to listen, learn and act throughout the year. SSM&L is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and ability. We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, identity and expression, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
