About the company: We are the Mechanical and Electrical section of Integrated Water Services, better known as IWS M&E, and part of South Staffordshire Plc. IWS M&E provides pump diagnostics and refurbishment, project management, telemetry, chemical dosing and control, instrumentation installation and maintenance, environmental management, plant and infrastructure maintenance and emergency response. These services and cost-efficient solutions for water, wastewater and environmental problems are provided 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year anywhere in the UK. About the job:
- Reporting to the Central Contracts Manager.
- Responsible for the delivery of M&E projects under South Staffordshire & Cambridge Water Frameworks from £1k - >£2M.
- Work with the Project, Commercial, Design, & Operations team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with CDM.
- Plan resource effectively and ensure internal processes are followed including monthly programme & forecast updates.
- Follow tender processes and supplier evaluations.
- Responsible for proactive management of health & safety, Site Inspection targets, and liaison with clients and suppliers.
- Reviewing subcontractor approvals and performance.
- Training and career development opportunities.
- Participate in client initiatives, be responsible for achieving KPI’s and increased Health & Safety performance.
About the successful applicant:
- Be well organised, have excellent customer skills and be IT literate in MS Office packages including MS Project.
- Hold appropriate qualifications in engineering and be able to display a sound understanding of relevant Legislation, CDM Regulations & duties, and NEC Contracts.
- Have appropriate experience and a technical understanding of the M&E requirements in the Water Industry.
- Be a ‘can do’ person with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Require a full driving licence and there will be an element of working away with the role as and when required.
- Deliver schemes as required in other areas that fall under the Central Frameworks & Contracts Managers responsibility.
