About the job:

  • Production and planning of all key MECIA deliverables for the commissioning of projects.
  • Client and Operational liaison to ensure new and existing apparatus is managed throughout the commissioning process.
  • Manage safety documentation, interpret electrical drawings, and conduct testing for LV equipment, ensuring operational integrity.
  • Coordinate site activities with engineers, subcontractors, and utilities, overseeing job costing, material specifications, and logistics for efficient project execution.
  • Willingness to take on LV SAP duties on successful completion of the clients LV SAP mentoring programme.
  • Collation and completion of testing and inspection records.
  • Review of design deliverables including Control Philosophy, P&ID’s, schedules, FDS and telemetry requisitions.
  • Attend progress and commissioning meetings with the client.
  • Attend and oversee MCC FAT & SAT testing.
  • Compile commissioning documentation and review of commissioning plans.
  • Develop accordingly to site requirements.
  • Assist in compilation of O&M manuals.
  • Assist in training and handover.

About the successful applicant:

  • Technical certification (e.g., BTEC, C&G) in Electrical Engineering or installation.
  • Proficiency in electrical commissioning, fault finding, along with a solid understanding of health and safety regulations and distribution safety rules.
  • Desirable qualifications and skills involve training certifications (e.g., first aid, IPAF, PASMA, SMSTS), CSCS industry card, knowledge of 18th edition / 2391 inspection & testing.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office, a full driver's license, and flexibility for travel within the UK, including weekend overtime or alternate schedules, are essential for the role.
  • Behavioural competencies include strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, problem-solving aptitude, and a proactive, confident approach to tasks, whether working independently or leading a team.
