Base Location: For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations – Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness.
Salary: £58,100 – £87,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Fixed Term Contract (6 months) | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The role
SSEN has a fantastic 6-month fixed term opportunity for a strategic programme leader to join our team as the T3 Readiness and Connections Transformation Manager. In this role, you’ll lead a critical programme of work that prepares SSEN Transmission for the next regulatory period (RIIO-T3), driving improvement initiatives and delivering transformation at scale. You’ll help ensure we meet regulatory expectations, enhance performance, and deliver better outcomes for our customers and the wider energy system.
You will
- Lead the delivery of our T3 Readiness Improvement Programme with a focus on enhancing our connections performance, working closely with internal stakeholders to plan, track and realise benefits, including developing strategies to meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
- Drive a portfolio of process improvement initiatives across Transmission, embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee stakeholder engagement, including regular updates and strategic communications with initiative sponsors, senior management, and programme directors.
- Manage risks, interdependencies, and progress across a broad set of initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Hold senior leaders accountable for delivering agreed improvements, benefits, and outcomes in line with the transformation strategy.
You have
- Proven experience in leading business improvement or transformation programmes, ideally within an energy, infrastructure, or regulated industry.
- Strong project or programme management capabilities, with a track record of delivering at pace and managing competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across all levels of seniority.
- Experience in process improvement and embedding change through inclusive, people-focused approaches.
- A strategic mindset and the confidence to hold others accountable for delivery and results.
