Base Location: Applicants must be based in one of our Scottish locations and will be expected to spend 50% of their working week in the office – Inverness, Aberdeen or Perth. Salary: £42,600 - £64,000 + performance‑related bonus + a range of benefits to support finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible – first options available.

Role Overview: As the SHW Reporting & Insights Lead, you will shape a high‑quality Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Management Information service, developing and delivering insight through data visualisation and analytics tools including Power BI, Fabric, Data Warehouse solutions, AI, EcoOnline and other SHW data sources. Your work will support informed decision making across the business and evolve in line with strategic needs. You will also lead ongoing improvement of dashboards, create new reporting products, and collaborate with internal communications to support clear, timely and effective SHW messaging.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and continuously enhance the SHW reporting suite using up‑to‑date technologies.
  • Manage data mining and collection processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and data integrity.
  • Work with external vendors to maintain and enhance SSEN Transmission’s electronic SHW recording and reporting systems, including in‑App reporting for mobile SHW data capture.
  • Coordinate functionally across the SHW Coordinator community to maintain effective reporting systems and communications.
  • Collaborate with internal communications teams and SHW stakeholders to plan, coordinate and share clear, consistent SHW communications aligned with the SSEN Transmission SHW Strategy and wider SSE standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, organise, analyse and present information accurately.
  • Solid understanding of data reporting tools and statistical analysis, with predictive modelling experience across multiple software solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, advanced skills in Excel and Power BI, and familiarity or experience with Databricks, Fabric and Minitab (preferred).
  • Sound understanding of Safety, Health, Wellbeing and Environmental reporting requirements.
  • Proactive, organised approach capable of managing workload and prioritising competing demands.
