Base Location: Inverness or Dundee. Salary: £34,749 - £40,939 + company van + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role:

SSEN Transmission is looking for a Resource Controller to support our goal of achieving Net Zero. Our Resource Controllers are responsible for the process of using the company’s resources in the most efficient way possible, ensuring that the management of stock, PPE, tools and plant is effective.

  • Provide ordering, receipting and management of all goods and materials into the stores to ensure that all goods are accounted for and dispatched in a timely manner to the correct destination.
  • Manage all scrap and waste materials arriving in the depot, involving the segregation of scrap into its materials type and efficient disposal whilst adhering to our safe way of working.
  • Manage the SSEN Transmission depot, yard and warehouse areas ensuring that all areas are kept tidy and free from hazards.
  • Support and participate in the activity of Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) inspections, Calibration activities and COSHH compliance.
  • Provide logistical support for operational teams.

You have:

  • Previous demonstrable experience of resource control - e.g. warehouse, or associated stock control responsibilities.
  • Strong IT skills with experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as Maximo or Oracle.
  • A full manual UK or UK equivalent drivers licence.
  • Experience working with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A Forklift license or HGV license would be beneficial for this role but not essential.
