We have an exciting opportunity for a Civils Team Manager within our Transmission Operations business. You’ll be a key member of the Operations team working with our teams in their co‑ordination, efficient and safe delivery of a wide range of key inspection and maintenance activities on our assets reporting to the Operations Manager.
You will:
- Ensure responsibility initially for the preparation, collation, co‑ordination and reporting of key asset data from various existing asset software programs, platforms, historical records and current yearly inspection and maintenance plans.
- Formulate and effectively communicate the work scheduling of current and future key inspections and maintenance activities in line with existing operational timescales.
- Identify and maximise opportunities and synergies with other key stakeholders for current and future outperformance in key areas of inspection and maintenance activities.
- Provide leadership and direction, assisting to relay and execute plans.
You have:
- An understanding of the Transmission business and the environment we operate.
- Knowledge of current operations and maintenance activities including policies, procedures, electrical systems and their geography would be beneficial but not essential as informative training will be provided.
- Education in a discipline relevant to this role and/or previous experience working in a similar managerial or leadership role.
- Strong communication, high organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage varying deadlines and priorities, whilst maintaining positive working relationships.
- The ability to identify and implement innovative and effective business improvements.
- A passion for safety, setting and maintaining high standards, promoting a safe working environment, and a good safety culture throughout your team.
- The comfort to challenge any unsafe behaviours or attitudes in a positive manner.
